Books & Articles
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working on a range of writing projects, from textbooks and creative guides to articles for scientific, technical, and medical journals. Here’s a small selection…
Life 3.0
Max Tegmark is a professor at MIT and has been called the world’s smartest Swede. His book Life 3.0 deals with the threats and opportunities of artificial intelligence. The book was listed on the New York Times bestseller list for two weeks. Barack Obama included it on his list of the best books of 2018. Bill Gates has it on his top-ten list of favorite books about technology. And Elon Musk has tweeted praise for it. Why? Because AI is one of the most important issues of our time and a real threat to our existence.
My involvement? Max asked me to do the final proofreading and provide stylistic comments for the Swedish edition of the book. For this work, I am thanked in the foreword
Skapande skrivande
Creative Writing is a practical book about the craft of writing. It’s packed with tips and exercises, designed to serve both as a self-study tool and as an aid in teaching.
I was commissioned to write Creative Writing for Gleerups and was given a record-short deadline. It was an intense writing period where I jotted down my thoughts and experiences about the craft of writing. Together with a fantastic educational designer and the legendary educational editor Svante Skoglund, we managed to complete the project on time. The book is still used in teaching at folk high schools and secondary schools across the country.
Svenska A
After writing Creative Writing for Gleerups, I was asked to also contribute to the textbook Svenska A for the then newly founded publisher Bok & Webb. I wrote chapters on subjects including poetry, drama, and the craft of writing.
Articles
From 2001 to 2006, I worked as a freelance journalist with clients such as Hexanova Media Group and Invest in Victoria. Many of the assignments were for scientific, technical, and medical journals in English.
